Elements is the tenth volume, and first side-story collection of the Accel World light novel series by Reki Kawahara. It was released on December 10, 2011 in Japan.
Summary
Elements is the first, and so far, only side-story volume in the series. It has three stories:
The bulk of the book is composed of the first two stories.
The Sound of Water on a Distant Day
Arita Haruyuki, a.k.a Silver Crow, member of the reborn Nega Nebulus, makes a certain blunder and sees a sudden, precipitous drop in Burst Points. Given that he is backed up against the wall, Takumu suggests he hire the Accelerated World's "bouncer".
Roar of the Sea at the Ends of the Earth
While on her school trip to Okinawa, Kuroyukihime meets two local Burst Linkers and an old acquaintance, as well as a mysterious Burst Linker who does not show up on the matching list.
Versus
Haruyuki fights a mysterious dual swordsman.
