I hate to be "that guy", but I have to voice my disagreement with your claim that there is a lack of consensus here. This wiki only has five major contributors: Qunow, Rich Richie, and Robyn Grayson (the three leaders), as well as myself and Mttblue2. Everyone else who voiced their opinion is not active here, they have little to no edit history or joined during this whole debacle at the request of one of the active contributors.
I don't think it's fair to myself and Mttblue2, as well as Qunow and Rich Riche to a lesser extent, to put this aside at this time. The two of us who aren't leaders have had plenty of issues with Robyn Grayson, problems that neither of us believes will go away. I don't want to be stuck with a three-month "ban" on this topic to work on the wiki because I, as someone who is at the mercy of the leaders, could easily be taken advantage of (edits rolled back, possibly even banned) with no fear of consequence for the person taking advantage of me. This is a situation I have actually dealt with more than once in the past and am still dealing with elsewhere, and even in the other location, I am constantly afraid to take any real form of action for fear that those above me will punish me with no chance of repercussion on their part.
I apologize if this sounds rude, but I don't think I can get on board with your decision. If you decide to follow through with this then so be it, but I don't think that I will be able to spend my time contributing to this wiki any longer if that's the case. I will let the others voice their opinions as well, as I don't wish to speak for them, but after speaking with them for some time I don't think they intend to stick around here either while this situation remains unresolved.
Yes, they do matter, someone else could easily have found this discussion and cast their vote in that time. 50000cal, Mttblue2, and StarmanW all cast their votes within six hours of Robyn closing this thread, who's to say that three more people couldn't have come in during the six that were stolen from this thread?
No sir, I opened it to correct an incorrect count, then closed it again in accordance with my "it will close when I wake up" statement. Besides, who's violating the due-date rule by reopening this thread now, hmm?
You closed it before the time I set, I had to reopen it in order to correct the tally, which you then proceeded to argue about. If anyone violated anything, it was you by closing this thread six hours early.
I did say that, but you also closed the thread of your own volition six hours before the time I had set for it to close. Besides, you never responded to what I said earlier: just come clean about recruiting others to help postpone your demotion.
Stop feigning innocence, you and I both know you recruited help to prevent your being demoted. Just come clean already, make this easier on all of us.
There was no rule stating that it could come from a link, either. Hell, if that's the game we're playing then why don't I just do what you did and point out that, while I said that anyone could vote, I never said that all votes would be counted so it's a unanimous 5-0 vote in favor of demoting you? I WON'T do that, but please stop trying to alter things like this through loopholes and vague wording.
And don't pretend you didn't corrupt this vote either, the fact that more people from the SU wiki have shown up to cast their votes is proof that you have done just that.
That does not constitute casting a vote on this discussion thread, he simply linked an old Pastebin file he created.
Unlocked this thread to correct the tally: Cheeseskates never actually cast a vote, so the final count should be 5-4 in favor of demotion. NOW this thread will be locked and such discussion ended.
Pretty sure that manipulating a community vote to further his interests is proof enough of unwillingness to work together.
Robyn, as for your point, this WAS a normal demotion thread meant to put your status up to vote much like you did for Rich Richie and Qunow, but it devolved when you started bringing in your friends from elsewhere to manipulate the tally and deleting (or attempting to delete) evidence used to prove that you are unfit to lead this wiki. We also didn't force you to do anything like step down, we simply offered that as a quicker alternative.
Anyway, I'm going to bed now, this thread will be over when I wake up in like 6 or 7 hours.
How is it an appeal to motive? These people have literally said, "I do not want to contribute anymore while this person is present."
As for burden of proof, I will gladly name the people in question and have them tell you the exact same thing if you'd like.
How does it not...?
@Robyn: No, that's the equivalent of "we don't think you're fit to run something we work on and are going to protest it". If you think we're ganging up on you, it's probably because those who actively work here all simply share the same opinion.
@Doork: What did I disagree with? I am simply sharing my opinion, much like you've done. If we disagree, it's simply because our opinions differ.
@Robyn: My basis that you're stagnating the wiki is statements from multiple people that they have no desire to make any further contributions while you're in power. If such statements, which come from many major editors here, aren't proof of your stagnating this wiki then I don't know what is.
@Doork: Well, when almost half of your edits (5194/10734) are from the SU wiki, I think it's fair to assume that's your "home wiki" as Robyn put it.
I am trying to get rid of you because I, as well as most of the other major contributors here, find you to be a hindrance to the growth of this wiki. It has nothing to do with your opinion being different than mine, or anyone else's for that matter.
Oh, my mistake Doork, your edits did, in fact, come a few minutes prior to your post here, my math was off. You still managed to find this stuff and write out a response pretty quickly, I mean, 11 minutes after your user page edit? Impressive.
If I am being a hindrance to the community, then feel free to get rid of me and tell me that straight to my face. I have no desire to hinder the growth of a community, if such a place would be better off without me then so be it.
